Just terrible

I just spend R10K tracking a leaking pipe in my walls. Turns out to be a huge hole in my drainage pipe from upstairs when the Gas Men SA came and installed the gas stove downstairs by the kitchen. They drilled through the wall without even checking the other side to see where the exit was. If you go outside and see, they drilled just above the inspection pipe. So out of a whole huge big wall, they managed to drill right into the only drainage pipe there. You don't need to have any tools or machines to know not to drill there. It's like if you had to guess where a pipe is, it's going to be right above the inspection pipe. I can't believe the incompetence. Maybe if they did some planning, they would have at least saw the inspection pipe. But it doesn't look like they had any plan.

But not only that, that hole they drilled wasn't even the final hole for the gas pipe. They abandoned that hole right after they punctured the drainage pipe on both sides. Then proceeded to drill 2 more holes on the other side of the wall. So it doesn't even look like they planned where the gas pipe should exit. It's almost like they were drilling and hoping it comes out somewhere outside.

After reading the Gas Men SA's terms and conditions, the first 4 clauses are them not taking any responsibility for damages by drilling in the wall. Talk about trying to cover their behinds for incompetence. I guess this happens quite often. It also looks like they don't have any social media presence. Probably because all they would get is complaints about their incompetence.

100% would not recommend this terrible service.
