Worse venue experience in my entire life

We attended a function a few nights ago at this location. My first thoughts where that the place was absolutely Stunning to see and my expectations were sky high for the event. Unfortunately this is where the good news stops and the bad news starts and the reason for this bad review. We as guests of the function paid a large sum of Money to attend and expected to be treated like royalty for the amount paid, what we got was a subpar disaster of a evening that could only be described as **********. The people who Organized the event did an amazing job from custom gifts and delightful music. The garden venues contributions put this to Shame. A dance floor made of poorly put together wooden slats that seemed to be done in a rush rush despite what I have heard as having quite litterally a year to prepare for it. The wooden slats where poorly Put together with tape and mismatched floor boards that was a nightmare to dance of and seemingly in a rush to get it down they placed pvc paint onto it. This created a monstrosity that showed lack of preparation. With people tripping on the tape and sticking to a terrible floor, which was supposed to be glazed tiles, the event was made astronomically difficult due to this lack of detail and disgusting laziness provided by the garden venue. And this is only the cheery on the cake, now we get the food and beverage section. This made that floor look like it was done by a professional. A lovely menu was served as something out of gordan Ramsay's kitchen nightmares. Bland disgusting cold food that quite litterally brought on nuisea, plates stone cold and wet, and what was promised as an amazing meal could only be described as a health hazard designed to poison guests was served instead. As a promoter of the event claiming that a lovely meal was to be served I have to say that I was disgusted and down right embarrassed to see what was served to guests who attended and I could only go on to say that i would never again eat any food from this location. Next up drinks. The drink in question I am referring to is water ice and with lemon. A member of staff wished to squeeze a lemon directly into the jug of water instead of the traditional slices of lemon with ice. I was so appalled and confronted the manager only to be told that for some unknown reason a runner had decided to take up bar duties and had little to no knowledge of how a bar should be run. From guests complaining about how the bar tenders didn't even know what drinks they had down to my own as mention above experience. I have to say that the staff were disastrous and whether this was due to a lack of management or poor planning I can't say. For the amount spent on a single ticket one would expect at least free coffee to be given, but alas this wasn't even provided and it might have saved them a little face too. Unfortunately they decided to forego again on the minor details of the event and turned it into a culinary and beverage disaster. But wait there is more.... The menu sported one of the deserts that is craved. Among all people, creme Brule. Everyone was excited about this. To our horror it Was once again served showing the lack of care and general laziness of the venue. A giant bowl with a monstrously huge layer of burnt sugar covering what can only be described as raw egg flavored custard was served. Instead of in lovely individual holders like it should have been they decided to put it into a serving bowl and have everyone scooped Out of it making a mess of an already terrible desert. I could go onto how bad the chocolate mousse was but i think yup get the picture. Overly sweet lumpy disgusting food. We were even. Parked in the middle. Of a muddy field near the top of the venue. Not exactly glamorous or good for the formal. Attire people were wearing after all the rain we have had. The staff could barely speak English making it hard to communicate or order. If only i could give negative stars. I will never attend a function at this venue again period.
