My friend Duduzile and I were planning a baby shower for our friend, we paid a deposit of R25 000 on February 24th 2025. Our friend had a emergency C-section which led to us having to cancel the baby shower. We called the venue on a Saturday March 1st 2025, they told us the office people don't work on weekends. We then wrote an email to them on Monday 3rd of March 2025 to cancel the booking. That's when our problems started. We have been send from pillar to post by Norman who is the sales representative, George ( I don't know his position) and Sarah who is the GM. We even agreed that they can take 20% (R5000) which they said was for admin even though our cancellation was made during the cooling-off period. Even today which is a month later after our cancellation we have not received a cent of our money.
