Disgusting behavior

If I could rate less than 1 star I would. We paid a breakage deposit for our wedding on 31st July 2020, due to the covid situation the venue is unable to provide the agreed upon service yet they refuse to refund the deposit paid despite having a clause in the agreement that states that in the case of unforseen circumstances the venue would make suitable alternative arrangements or refund the deposit, as suitable alternative arrangements can not be made they should refund the amount, yet they refuse to do so and send lawyers letters and will not even communicate with you at all themselves. Their lawyers told us that they are not allowed to speak to us anymore because it costs the venue too much, so it seems they aren't paying their lawyers fees either. How disgusting, they won't speak to us and wont let their lawyers speak to us either despite being in breach of the contract as well as the consumers act. This behavior shows their character. Disgusting and unprofessional, I would not recommend to anyone.
