Shoe broke after one day of purchase

It saddens me that i have to write this complaint because the service was excellent at Fashion World at Southdale, but i bought a shoe on Saturday, i wore the shoe yesterday, and it broke :( i tried looking for the receipt in order to return it but i cant find it, but surely they can check on their systems that i was there and i can get a copy of my bank statement to prove that i am the one who indeed bought the shoe on saturday. and im not sure if they will accept it back after i have worn it but i believe that if i buy something, it shouldnt break the first time i wear it, atleast give me a couple of months to enjoy the shoe... i trust i will receive a positive response.
