Peeping into dressing room at TFG store
I had a traumatic experience at one of The Foshcini Group (TFG) stores, The Fix in Canal Walk on Friday, 28 June 2024 one of the staff members (male) opened the dressing room curtain and banged on the dressing room divider a couple of times while looking at me and proceeded to say something in his language while I was bare-chested, fitting on a jumpsuit. I froze completely in that moment and didn’t say a word and he closed the curtain and walked away. I immediately got dressed and asked to speak to the manager but they had already left, one of the staff members showed me to the person second in charge and it was the guy that opened up the curtain. I refuse to speak to him. The Monday I reported the incident at N1 City Mall to the manager she then sent a WhatsApp to the Area Manager with all my details and what happened. I did not hear from her. I did a follow-up call to the store informing the manager and I still had not heard from the area manager or store manager. I was informed that I may not have the Regional Manager's details even though this was a serious matter. I’ve contacted so many people trying to get help from TFG that I eventually gave up because still I had not heard from anyone. 2 months later, I decided to escalate the matter to their customer service and I finally got a call from the Area manager. I was informed by the Area manager that the matter has been furthered, but she can not share the result determined by HR due to POPI. I then received an email from customer service "that my request has been resolved". I am appalled by the way this was handled... unprofessional and insincere. They had no intention of doing what's right or even trying to help, it seems the only way to make these big corporations listen is if you take it to social media or media outlets.
