No service at the FIX

What bad service... I bought a phone at the FIX Newcastle KZN just last weekend. The lady at the till never gave me something like a policy agreement etc. to sign. When I asked should we not open the phone first before leaving to make sure that it is in good condition, the lady informed me that it is not necessary and that the line behind me is getting quite long. When home, I charged the phone like I should and when I switched it on a dead pixel could be noticed right away. I switched it off and placed everything back in the box. Because I live quite a while from the store where I purchased the phone, I went to the closes The Fix and informed them that my phone is faulty and I would like to have it replaced or be refunded. They started right away with their nonsense of that it is not done that way blah, blah, blah. When they referred to the document I signed I told them that I did not sign anything and did not agree to anything of the nature. They phoned the area manager and when I spoke to her she spoke in a very rude tone and told me they have rules and would not just replace my phone as a dead pixel is not that bad. I walked out there with the same stupid faulty phone. I will be going to the Ombudsman to resolve this matter as I know their next answer will be that my seven days are now over.

I don't even want the phone replaced anymore, I just want my money back so that I can go and buy a phone where I know I would get what I paid for.
