********** behavior

I received a statement from The Fix stating that I owe R36 for an account I did not open.I did not receive a card nor sign for any account.I called the forensics department to query this and the guy I spoke to told me to go to the police station to make an affidavit in this regard.Why should I inconvenience myself?
