Credit limit increase decline

I filled in form for my credit allocation to be increased but it was declined. When i opened the account, i was still a student and was given a credit limit of R800. Now that I"m working, i asked for a credit limit increase and it was declined. I can't buy anything on the account with that small amount. I pay the account up every month, sometimes even upfront but when i ask for a credit limit it gets declined. If my credit can't can be increased I think it will be better to settle the amount and close the account for good. There's no point in having an account when you cant even use it.

It is disappointing because I love shopping at the Tfg's stores.
