Bad experience, THE FISHERMANS COTTAGE

My name is Theo du Toit My wife and I wanted to go away for a weekend in July 2017. We found a place on Budget Getaways ( THE FISHERMANS COTTAGE) and app**** to rent it for a weekend. I gave my wife the money (R2400) and she paid for the weekend from her account. We arrived at the cottage and got the key. We were there for about 10 min and then we got an emergency call to come home. We gave the key back to the lady that looked after the place and drove back home immediately. We informed the owner of the cottage that we had an emergency and she told us that we could make a booking for any other weekend because she did not intend to refund the money under any circumstances. So we asked for the weekend of the 22nd of December 2017. She rep**** that the particular weekend was already booked by someone else but that we could get the cottage on the 1st weekend of December 2017. We were pleased with that, but when my wife emailed the owner the other day, the owner said that she had rented the cottage to someone else and that we can’t stay there on that weekend anymore. I tried phoning her several times but she doesn't answer my calls. I emailed her and asked her about the situation. Up to date she still has not rep**** to my emails and I find this highly unprofessional.
