A great steak,bar none

#Supportlocal.My husband and I visited the Fat Butcher Resturant in Stellenbosch a while back.The restaurant was easy to find,being iocated opposite the Stellenbosch University Botanical Gardens with its cheerful red and white awning.Upon entrance the various cuts of steak are displayed in glass cases.There is also a full bar at one end of the restaurant and one walk past a comprehensive wine rack at the entrance. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and we received complimentary sourdough bread and farm fresh butter which was very good.I ordered a rump steak medium rare,which was done to perfection.The roasted marrow bone on the side was a welcome addition.This was truly the best steak I have ever eaten,bar none.The place seemed popular with families and small groups.A very cheerful,homely place and highly recommended.
