The Fashion Plug: Mzansi: Sneaker ********
My 18yr old daughter ordered a pair of R1500 + R100 delivery sneakers from The Fashion Plug Mzansi website on 13 April with her hard earned SAVINGS.
As it was a Payfast transaction, we trusted this vendor. Payment was taken off on 16 April. After enquiring about a week later (they promise 2-3 day Postnet to Postnet Delivery), she was told that they would be sent after the 25th as there was a delay.
She received an SMS to say a package arrived at Witbank Postnet. We are in Durbanville in the Cape! They don't respond to calls, messages or emails. After EVENTUALLY enquiring with Postnet, who were willing to forward this package to us, they discovered that it was not addressed to her! After no responses from emails or messages, out of desperation, on 7 May I sent a WhatsApp msg to their cell no. advertised on their social pages, I received a very casual message requesting my order no. on 8 May. I responded by stating that I have made a claim with Payfast & Nedbank for a refund for goods not delivered and I needed a refund. 3 minutes later he responds saying that Payfast & Nedbank have frozen my payment, and they will only be able to redirect the package back to themselves as it's as if I haven't paid (which I have!)...so he seems to have made this up on the fly! And that I would need to call Payfast to sort this out ASAP. (go figure...on voting day!) Still no information on our mystery package or any proof that it was ever sent. I have been blocked from their social media accounts as they do not have any intention of co-operating. I am waiting for Postnet to confirm that there was no package despatched from their PTA Postnet in may daughter's name. I will add this to the evidence I need in my case against them with Payfast & Nedbank. It seems many more people have been ****med by this lot and they carry on posting more deals every day. How can this continue with our consumer protection laws?? Is there anything else I can do? Please advise.
