Misadvertises a product, confirms the misadvertised information, then doubles the price after purchase

Very poor buying experience. This company (The Digital Factory www.thedigitalfactory.co.za) advertised a Canon Powershot SX70 HS at R6679 on a "Spring Sale". Before purchasing, I specifically asked them to confirm that the price is correct, as their price was well below what other stores are asking for the same product. They confirmed the price of R6679 and stated that this was a Spring Sale price for a limited time. They also confirmed that I can purchase and my order will be shipped on Monday 6 September 2021. I immediately completed my purchase on Saturday 4 September 2021 directly after receiving confirmation that the price was correct and stock available to complete the order. I then received a message on Monday 6 September that my order was cancelled and the promotion is "sold out". The product is still being sold on their website at double the price. The product is therefore not "sold out", they just misadvertised the price and even after multiple confirmations from them that the price is correct and stock available, they refuse to honour their sale agreement. Terrible experience and definitely would not recommend this company
