Very upset
My fianc? got a sms from this people. Then he rep**** and they phoned him back. They didn't even give all the information about how they work. the next moment he found out the list him on Debt review. he was only enquiring about it.<br> A few days passed and he couldn't draw money out of his account and they froze his cheque account. We phoned the bank to ask what is up and they told us no he is under debt review. We phoned the people and asked how could they do it, but nobody came back to him. All his payments went of normally this month out of his account. Last week he went to go draw money and there was only R50 is his account when we phoned the bank they say the his overdraft was made less by R5000. It is the middle of the month and we needed that money to survive through the month. They told us that a verbal contract was in order but we never signed for anything and we haven't received the documentation up and till this Friday.... Normally a client must first go through the documentation and then sign if he approves. Half of the information on the form is incorrect we don't know where the found the information. Very Upset
Good Day.
We thank you for the opportunity to respond to your complaint and we apologize for the experience you feel have had with our company.
However, I have listened to all the recorded calls and our agent did recommend that you need to open a savings account to avoid the problem that you encountered. A cheque/current account with an overdraft facility is an open line of credit and once you are determined to be over-indebted, the bank have to withdraw this line of credit as making it available will constitute reckless lending on their part. In the calls, our agent also made you aware of the fact that your accounts might be frozen once the process gets underway.
Under normal circumstances we would have been able to withdraw your application on your request, but the NCR has passed a new regulation a few weeks ago which stops any client from withdrawing their debt review until all debt is paid in full. I will however take this up with the NCR and get back to you shortly.
All of the above was explainned to you telephonicly aswell.
Kind Regards
