Worst service in the history of mankind

SHORT DISCRIPTION OF COMPLAINT: On Monday 18 November 2019, I went to The Courier Guy, Swellendam to send a parcel to Johannesburg. Inside the parcel was a printer I sold to a person in Johannesburg for R26 000. On Tuesday 19 November, I received a notification from my bank that the funds that were transferred to my bank account for the printer was reversed. I immediately phoned The Courier Guy to ask them if they can stop the parcel and send it back. Engela Wessels, that works at the Swellendam kiosk, said they can place a hold on the parcel for two days once it reached Johannesburg. I felt very relieved. On Wednesday 20 November, I spoke with Engela again, confirming that they send it back to me. Engela said as long as I carry the costs for the return. I agreed. On Monday the 25th I phoned Engela to ask her if I can come and collect my parcel. I had another buyer for the printer as I urgently need the funds. She told me that she doesn't know and didn't follow up. She will have to find out. She phoned me back and informed me that they went ahead and delivered the parcel even with instructions to hold the parcel and send it back. Engela Wessels told me she will follow up with her Head Office. Later that afternoon she phoned me and requested two invoices from me. One with the purchase amount of R50 000 and one of the amount I sold it to the Johannesburg individual for R26 000. Tuesday morning, 26 November I sent both invoices to Engela's email address. I phoned to confirm that it was received.

On 28 November I phoned again to follow up. Her response was that she "forgot" to phone me the previous day, but she is very sorry they will not be able to assist me in any way. I told her it is unacceptable. Their mistake cost me R26 000 and a loss of income, because I needed that funds to purchase stock for my new business. She informed me that she will bring the matter under her Area Manager's attention. (Almost a week later.) I went to The Courier Guy that same day Thursday 28 November and demanded her Area Manager's detail. I spoke with Frikkie van Zyl, the Area Manager, and he said he is going to make a few phone calls and promised to return my call. Until today I have not heard from Frikkie. Instead Engela phoned me Friday 29 November to inform me that the CEO is involved now, but unfortunately they can not do anything for me and it is my problem. Sorry for my loss. This after they confirmed that my parcel will be placed on hold and returned to me. I paid for the delivery. I asked them to return the parcel and we had an agreement. If they told me they couldn't help me beforehand, I could have sent family to intercede the parcel. I have taken the matter of the ******** to the police. If I get the printer back, which I doubt, who says it will still be in any working order. I hold the couriers responsible for not honoring our agreement. Giving me false hope when requested invoices and then being told by the CEO that it's not their problem.

Details of steps taken to resolve the complaint: I contacted the Swellendam kiosk and spoke with Engela Wessels. I also spoke with the Area Manager Frikkie van Zyl. I was informed the CEO decided that it is not their problem. What outcome proposed for this complaint? The courier guy must pay R26 000 for my loss.

They claim that my parcel was already deliverd. Which is a lie and they are trying to cover for themselves. No way can a parcel reach Swellendam to Johannesburg in one day. Engela Wessles confirmed that they will stop it, but was too lazy to follow up. I will open a ***** case with SAPS against the lying courier guy.
