Useless service all around
The latest incident is that I received an sms with a pin to collect a parcel at Sasol Stormvoël, but the parcel is not intended for me. I used the supp**** tracking number to check (because I do not expect anything this soon), and it was intended for someone else, in Cape Town. So I phoned the Courier guy customer service number, I told the lady that I received this sms, but it's not intended for me - so she asked me if this is ******x (who it's intended for) and I said no, she then asked me to confirm the cellphone number they have for ******, and it is not even close to mine. This lady just ignored the fact that this mistake was made and made no effort to try and rectify it.
I then told the lady that this must be what happened to me last week (will clarify below) and when I finished telling me what happened, she transferred me to someone else, who cut me off once I started to explain my complaints.
So last week I made a request for a parcel to be deposited at Sasol Stormvoël and be delivered to Mokopane. When we used the pin provided to deposit the parcel, another parcel was already in the locker. Needless to say, we closed the door and did not deposit our parcel. I contacted Pudo to cancel and refund that deposit. So we thought, maybe if we use Courier Guy directly it'll be better. BIGGEST mistake ever. The parcel was collected on Wednesday in Pretoria, went to Jhb depot and then to Modimolle. Then the parcel was sent back to Jhb and then only went to Mokopane (Potgietersrus). Then on Friday, the parcel was deposited into a locker instead of being delivered to the address (which should be on the driver's tripsheet). So now we are waiting in suspense for confirmation that the parcel is actually still in the locker and not taken by someone else. Martin at Mokopane told me this morning that the driver will retrieve the parcel and deliver it today - I hope that is the case. Why can't they just create a pin for the recipient to collect the parcel himself? Wouldn't that be the easiest?
Of my last 5 Pudo consignments, we've had trouble with 3! The last incident as explained above, and then with 2 others we got empty lockers when opening with the received pins (correctly sent).
