THE RIGHT TO A FAIR AND HONEST DEAL
The Courier Guy have an app based delivery service named Pudo. Be warned, only the first section of the app works, that is where you have to make a payment and beyond that nothing works, which you the user, obviously do not know. In that way I paid my R50-00, then had no choice but to pay a further R120-00 to The Courier Guy to deliver my parcel. Then contacted them by email in order to obtain a refund. I was shocked to see that they have devised all kinds of obstacles that they put in your way to avoid paying a refund.
One requirement is that I must provide (quote) :- “a bank confirmation letter (BCL) is a letter from a financial institution validating that a borrower has an existing loan or line of credit.”
I am not a borrower, nor do I have any loan, and in any event such information is confidential and private. I fail to see how this can effect the re-payment for a commercial transaction on which they could not deliver or fulfil their obligations.
The senior management information and contact details are not available anywhere where I can find it, nor provided on request so I am unable to discuss this with anyone. The staff I could communicate with simply say we have procedures to follow.
Principally I will follow this up and lay claims and inform others to not fall in to this trap.
Please be warned, this organisation seems to lack honesty and integrity in their dealing with the public.
