The Courier Guy - Mr JP Van Tonder

I want to thank Mr. J.P. Van Tonder, who is the area manager for The Courier Guy in some areas of the North West.

On Friday after eight in the morning, I went to the Klerksdorp branch. I sent a package to Rustenburg with medication that needed to go to my daughter the next day. When I asked the woman at the front desk when I could expect the package to reach my daughter, she rep**** that it would arrive at the Rustenburg branch the next day. However, she also mentioned that the drivers do not deliver packages on weekends, so if it is urgent, my daughter should pick it up from the Rustenburg Kiosk.

Knowing that my daughter would pick up her package the next morning at the Rustenburg Kiosk, I paid for the delivery and departed the branch.

When my daughter went to the Rustenburg Kiosk the next morning, she was told that the package was in Johannesburg and that she would only be able to pick it up on Monday afternoon. My daughter contacted me to let me know that the arrival date had changed.

Unfortunately, when I called the Klerksdorp Kiosk, I was told that the managers are off on Saturdays. To have my issue resolved, I insisted on speaking with a higher-ranking individual. I was given the mobile number of Mr. JP Van Tonder by the woman at the Klerksdorp Kiosk.

I got in touch with Mr. Van Tonder to let him know about the inaccurate information provided by the Klerksdorp Kiosk on the arrival of my package in Rustenburg. During our phone conversation, Mr. Van Tonder was incredibly kind and supportive; assuring me that he would take care of the matter and make sure my daughter received her package.

Mr. Van Tonder contacted me in a matter of minutes and informed me that the package was in Johannesburg and would not be able to be delivered on Saturday. However, he personally made the necessary arrangements to ensure that my daughter received the package on Sunday between two and four o'clock in the afternoon.

I informed Mr. Van Tonder on Sunday morning that he had committed to make sure my daughter received her package. In response to my communication, Mr. Van Tonder said he had done the required preparations and was monitoring the package on the system.

I spoke with Mr. Van Tonder at 2:00 pm, and he informed me that the package was being pursued to Rustenburg. He had also made the required arrangements with the Rustenburg manager to get in touch with my daughter as soon as the package arrived and deliver it to the location listed on the way bill.

Since I first contacted Mr. Van Tonder, he has been a huge help, and my daughter was able to pick up her package at the Rustenburg Brach. His professionalism, kindness, patience, help, and understanding of how important my daughter's medication was to her health are all things I would like to thank him for.
