The Courier Guy Kiosk, Secunda damages your parcels
I have received a parcel sent to me from Johannesburg. Upon handing the parcel to me I noticed that the one corner of the parcel was damaged. About 150mm to both sides of the corer the MDF boards are damaged. The parcel was also marked with a fragile sticker. The parcel must have been dropped, falling on the corner. The youngster in the Kiosk's reaction was that they will first have to do an investigation. This could take up to two weeks. This is unacceptable. Speaking to the "Regional Manager" (Marco Prinsloo) there was no solution to the problem. Speaking to another manager he sent me the number (Janet Swart), Courier Guy will not accept any responsibility for the damage. So who is responsible for the handling of the parcel from where the parcel was shipped to me, the end user? Doesn't my supplier make use of the courier service to ensure I receive my parcel in a satisfactory condition? Saturday I was out of town when I received the message the parcel is here. This morning, Monday I was called from the Kiosk to inform me to collect my parcel from the kiosk. I notified the lady that I will pick up the parcel after work. The reason why I collect the parcels at the Kiosk is specifically to prevent damage to the parcels when delivered at home. I would not recommend any parcels to be transported by The Courier Guy.
