The courier guy driver refuses to deliver my parcel

I purchased a product from Makro online which the The Courier Guy company is supposed to deliver. However, I was called by the driver yesterday 2023.12.05 who told me to come collect my parcel at a police station in Atteridgeville. Note I stay in Lotus Gardens, so this company expects me to take a taxi or drive to Atteridgeville to collect my parcel from their driver. This is absolutely insane, I recently had my parcel from Take a Lot delivered to my gate without any challenges or this type of drama. I think Makro needs to change its Courier company because this is uncalled for. Worse the driver said he would remain at the police station until 16:00, so this forced me to either leave work early and personally go collect the parcel though there was someone at home available to collect the parcel. I offered an alternative address but the driver just blue ticked me on WhatsApp. What level of disrespect to customers is this?

If it's an issue of safety what about my safety? How am I expected to carry a whole box in a taxi? I don't stay in Atteridgeville and I am also not comfortable walking around the area. Anyway, why are they not taking up insurance for their business? Even when I called its customer service, the lady whom I spoke to over the phone just said, "Take it up with Makro" the way the company does not value its customers.

This is nonsense, a total disrespect and ************** for us who stay in the townships. I want my parcel and I expect the courier guy driver to deliver it to my door.
