The Courier Guy Can't Deliver

My experience with The Courier Guy has been one of the worst things I've experienced with a business in recent years.

I placed an order with a local retail store in mid-December 2021 and by the 21st December 2021 the items I had purchased and been collected from the retailer by The Courier Guy for shipping.

I expected that because of the fact that it was a few days before Christmas I would only receive my parcel the following week. Unfortunately this did not happen and again, because the New Years Day holiday was coming up I let it slide.

on the 3rd of January I reached out to the courier guy after repeatedly checking on the progress of my delivery via their tracking portal. I've have since made about 10 phone calls to The Courier Guy as well as about 5 to the retailer (who at this point really has nothing to do with the matter).

I have been given excuses ranging from no delivery due to The Courier Guy being short staffed, to no delivery because they have not been able to get a hold of me, to no delivery because there was no-one available to receive the parcel, to my contact details were incorrectly captured and even that there had recently been a system change.

My latest chat with a call centre agent at the Courier Guy revealed that my parcel was booked in with them and has not left...

I received a call from a gentleman at The Courier Guy yesterday informing me that the sender had inquired about the issue with my delivery and he assured me that my parcel would be delivered today.

As It stands, I have just gotten off yet another call with The Courier Guy and no-one I have spoken to is able to tell me where my parcel is. I have had the telephone dropped on me twice today after being asked to hold while I am being transferred to the operations manager and a second time when I asked to speak to a supervisor.

At this point I would not recommend anyone use The Courier Guy to send a parcel to anyone because it would appear that they are clearly unable to do the basics of couriering which is to know where the parcel is from the moment you receive it until the moment you deliver it.
