The Courier *********

Complaint reference *** / Delivery TCG***9 I purchased some holistic medications from an online company who apparently use this company to deliver to their customers and paid for the delivery charges upfront as they were added to my purchase fee. Yesterday I got a missed call from an mobile number I did not recognise around 09:15 and phoned the number back. On the other end was a very aggressive and fast talking man named Marshalow who claimed to be calling from The Courier Guy Grabouw Kiosk. He told me I should collect my delivery from that kiosk or pay him R350 cash on arrival. I insisted he give me his email address so that I could contact both him and the company I had bought from. Soon I discovered he had given me a false email address for that kiosk. Convinced I was being conned by a ******** attempting to **** me I tried to contact The Courier Guy in Grabouw after finding their landline number on the website. I phoned six times. Three times the call was dropped and I eventually was able to leave two messages. In my final message I said I would make a complaint if nobody got back to me. I waited. I received an email from the online company who had sent the package stating the address and amount were correct. I called the Grabouw Kiosk back. Marshalow was put on the line and immediately told me that the fault was with them and that my package would be delivered by or before 17:00, all I had to do was resend my address. He attempted to give me the false email address again so I insisted he give me his personal work email. Despite how poorly I had been spoken to a treated, I wrote a pleasant email thanking him for rectifying the problem and once again included my address plus coordinates plus Google Maps location. I then phoned the Grabouw Kiosk again to confirm receipt of my email. This time I was spoken to by a different staff member who refused to give me his name. He stated that he also wanted R350 in cash on arrival or I would not receive my package. At this point I hung up the call. I contacted The Courier Guy at Head Office in Cape Town and was responded to by Muzukhona who asked the same question four times via email - what is your tracking number? Each time I responded that I only had my customer invoice for the online company I had bought from and forwarded to both offices via email, and that Grabouw Kiosk should be contacted to obtain that information. I then received no less than eight consecutive calls from Grabouw Kiosk, one after the next after the next; after CLEARLY STATING IN WRITING that I had no further desire to be abused by the staff working there. It's obvious that Muzukhona does not like to read his responding emails, preferring to send the same question over and over again. Eventually at 16:10 yesterday he called me to ask the same question! To which I responded again "Call Grabouw Kiosk and find out." He assured me that he would resolve the issue and phone me back before 17:00 to confirm all was in order. He didn't do either of those two things, obviously. Twenty six hours after all of this ********ly *********** nonsense began I am still without my delivery. It's clear to me that they have ****** my package, their next best move apart from literally holding it ransom. The Courier Man is as effective as using the South African Post office. If you want to get your goods delivered use any other private courier company, NOT The Courier Guy.
