SHOCKING SERVICE - DAMAGED GOODS

We had an original artwork sent from the framers in Somerset West direct to our client in JHB, and the entire artwork arrived at the client smashed to pieces on all sides of the frame and is now completely ruined by The courier guy. The art was appropriately packaged as we always do, and it arrives perfectly fine. It is very obvious that this package was forced, dropped and abused in transit. Our framers also confirmed that the individual that collected the piece was already shoving it around when he collected it and when told to handle it with care, he responded that he knows what he's doing. Which was already a concern.

We contacted Courier to advise on the above and their attitude is that they don't take any responsibility for items such as art.
