****** tendencies showing once again.

I received an sms this morning: "The Courier Guy: Hi, your parcel (****) from Blues Alley Trading is out for delivery. Track: ...." I missed a call this morning 8:05. 8:13 I called back the first time and subsequently continued calling. None of my calls were answered. I called The Courier Guy and was told my area is a crime hotspot so they go to the police station and I must collect it there. Firstly, I do not know the dimensions of the parcel that must be collected. Secondly, this is a delivery company that does not deliver things that have been ordered. Thirdly, I am told that the supplier is supposed to have called me to tell me that my delivery is going to be made to the nearest police station. Almost 29 years into democracy I am given the same old stories that were used during apartheid just because I am living in a township. I do not have the means to live in an upmarket residential estate and because of that I am being discriminated in this day and age? What if I do not have a car to go collect my package? I paid for delivery to my door not to the nearest police station. If you charge for a service then you must fulfil that service. I just logged into The Courier Guy portal now and found the following: 7:51:15 Out for delivery , PTA 8:22:53 Returned to hub , PTA No one to receive the parcel When I was ceaselessly calling them from 08:13 and nobody was answering on the other end somehow there was "Noone to receive the parcel." This smacks of ****** in every sense of the concept. Africans are compliant and will go to all kinds of lengths to get their parcels. The Courier Guy need to learn that this is South Africa. If you can not do a service then do not say that you can and do not deliver.
