Poor Courier Guy Service.
So, what can be done?? You move from one courier company to the next because of poor service, only to have the next company also provide you with poor service! An "Overnight" service is offered, but no service is actually delivered! Why offer a service if you cannot deliver?? We are situated 30 minutes from Cape Town, with vehicles going into their main depot every day. My client is now sitting with a machine that cannot operate, because The Courier Guy cannot deliver a parcel within 48 hours (from Malmesbury to Cape Town to Port Elizabeth). When one complains, shoulders are pulled up and one gets told that "they are working on it". The same old words are used. And I called Head Office, requesting to speak to a senior person in management, only to be told that they may not forward my call. I need to speak to someone in authority, not someone in the call centre who can actually do diddly squat. AND this person in the call centre had the audacity to put the phone down in my ear when I insisted that my call be transferred. His excuse was that the "line was bad", when in actual fact he could hear me clearly. Oh, did I mention that they cannot even find the parcel!! Further to this, we have previously (on numerous occasions) requested an "Overnight" service from us to Durban, only to have it take 4 - 5 days to be delivered. Why is an overnight parcel put on a truck from Cape Town to Johannesburg and then re-routed to Durban?? If DHL can deliver a parcel in less than 24 hours, why can't The Courier Guy. So, it seems I will have to investigate a new service provider who can manage to deliver what they say. DO NOT SUPPORT DSV or The Courier Guy. They are both useless. Companies need to start thinking a bit and realise that they need to pull finger and up their service levels.
