Package collected 7 hours later than promised

Booked a shipment from Durban to PTA yesterday, they wanted to collect Yesterday late afternoon and i rescheduled it for early this morning as the collection place will only be open till 12 and I was assured it will be picked up early this morning, its almost 3PM and no pickup. Asked on WhatsApp and called the manager to ask what’s going on and was told “traffic” kept the driver from collecting. Like he was stuck in traffic the whole day till now? Shipping was supposed to be here tomorrow and now is delayed and this is not the first time with The Courier Guy. Cannot believe service has gone down so badly.
