Overcharged (grossly) - No desire to win back a customer.

I generally do not write these reviews, but when I feel the need to, then it must come to light. I have a business, which serves customers, and in this day and age, I must fight for my customer. TCG will not even miss me. In fact, they don't respond to much of the customers complaint either. I was billed R931 for a package from GP to NW. My error was to request an overnight, rather than standard ECO. Generally, a standard flyre would cost R101, but when doing an overnight, it will go to R159. But when my 6.8 kg pack arrives, and they don't deliver it, having billed me R931, and request we pay the difference, otherwise it cannot be released. Their own staff admitted that my area should not select overnight ever, as it's just a waste of money, and their support staff telephonically requested I simply send an email for request to change the delivery from ON to STD ECO, and this we done. I am afraid that management hands at the branches are simply tied, and they cannot make decisions, neither can they save customers.

The charge of R931 for a 6.8 kg package is quite excessive, and I am willing to pay whatever figure it requires, if it was a standard price, but they have not attempted to win me over, and given they already have low ratings of 2.2/5, is a sign that they are declining. This is not about the staff at the Mahikeng Branch, and they are lovely people doing their work, but the brand is not supportive to staff either, or is a decision that directors have to make to keep key people in the game. A lack of not being able to adjust the service level accordingly or even having an attitude to win back a client is appalling. We move on to better service.
