Not their fault!?!?! Couldn't care less!!??
We sent a perfectly intact and perfectly sealed box with The Courier Guy last week. Not a dent or scratch on it. All openings were sealed perfectly. The Courier Guy collected the box and by the time it was delivered to our client the same afternoon, the same box had been completely broken. The sides of the box looked like they had been ripped open and the box was completely bent out of shape and squashed. There were numerous books inside, all tightly shrink-wrapped in packs of 5. The shrink-wrapping is so solidly sealed that it needs a knife to open each pack. There were 4 packs of books that looked like they had been purposely ripped open and the books had been bent and damaged.
Upon multiple queries and complaints from myself and our client, The Courier Guy's constant response stays the same and, in a nutshell, "Not our fault".
They have swayed it off to the boxes not being packed properly with the drivers so the box may have fallen - but it's "Not our fault"???
With the state of the damage to the box, you'd swear the box was thrown around in a tumble dryer - to paint a more accurate image for traveling there and the way the pictures looked of the box!
And even if the box had fallen, why had it not been picked up and put back correctly? Even if it had been a long drive and the driver had no time to pick up the box.... then why is the shrink-wrapping on the books look like there was purposeful intention to open them???? Again, when pointed out, the response is "Not our fault".
Each time you point the plainly obvious to them, The Courier Guy either comes back with no response or a "couldn't care less" response. They refuse to take any accountability for any part of this.
Moreover, when the driver delivered these books, he was horridly rude to our client... repeatedly hooting for her to come collect the books. From customer service to delivery staff... utterly pathetic.
