Mishandling of parcels

I am in the logistics side of our company and I must say I have never dealt with a courier company that has absolutely no regard for how they handle parcels. The parcels leave our premises in immaculate condition, our clients sometimes send us pictures of how they are delivered, shocking!!! Today and on many other coactions I received an email stating that one of our clients drums was completely destroyed and all the liquid spilled out (R2600) worth of products which we have to now replace, they are not willing to take any responsibility for this, and its a common excuse for them - "we apologise for the inconvenience " that is all that they can say. The only thing they are reliable for is collecting parcels, what happens after that, you need to hold your breath that everything is in tact when it is delivered. I deal with a couple of couriers and have never had any emails from them saying they apologize for destroying someone's parcel. I hear their advert on hot 102.7 and just shake my head.
