I am writing to formally express my frustration and anger regarding the unacceptable handling of one of my parcels and the lack of feedback I have received regarding my complaint.

On [07/08-2025], I collected two parcels from The Courier Guy – one in a box and the other in a plastic bag. I did not open either package until I returned to my office. Upon inspecting the plastic bag, I noticed a small hole in the plastic. After removing the items from the bag, I saw that one of the boxes inside had already been opened and that the jewellery which was supposed to be inside was missing.

I immediately reported the matter to The Courier Guy Mafikeng branch, where I was told they would investigate and get back to me. However, several days have now passed with no update. When I contacted the head office, I was told the matter had to be handled by from the JhB branch and later after told they waiting for feedback from the Mafikeng branch – yet the branch has still not provided any feedback.

This delay and lack of accountability are unacceptable. I demand that this matter be resolved urgently. I expect either the safe return of my missing jewellery or full reimbur*****t of its value without any further delay.

I trust that The Courier Guy will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond to me within 48 hours

Please note that you are responsible for ensuring your goods are securely packaged for handling and cargo transfers (air and line haul). The Courier Guy cannot be held liable for any damage caused by insufficient packaging. Securing the box: Proper box closure is essential for safe transportation. Use broad, pressure-sensitive plastic tape. Do not use masking tape, Scotch tape, duct tape, or string.
