Item lost through a hole in the bag. No refund after 4 months waiting

The Courier Guy in Cape Town - there was a hole in the package through which an item was lost. (******?) I ordered another item from JHB and received it. a person by the name of Anton promised that TCG will refund me for the lost item - since October 2021 - no refund, no reply only promises.
