International courier services are a JOKE

Please can nobody ever use The Courier Guy utterly ****** useless service!! We paid these a$$holes R40k to have 4 boxes of personal goods sent from a family members house in JHB South Africa to our door in Canada. We asked NUMEROUS times if we have to be present to clear these items from customs as the closest international Airport is in another province which is 8 hours away from us. They repeatedly told us NO they use a local broker who handles ALL of that for us and if there are extra fees they call us to settle it and it will be sent to our door in Saskatoon. True as anything the local broker just told us it's rejected because we must be present to clear the boxes which are now in this other province. We only went with this joke of a company because they cleared this point for us several times. Now my question to you is who is going to pay for us to travel 8hrs to go sign a piece of paper, take time off work, accommodation ect only for you to then put those boxes onto a truck and drive them here yourself anyway after that?!?!?!?!?! This is by far the WORST service we have ever received and I have had to deal with home affairs and the TV license people a lot through this immigration process so yes that says a lot about how **** your service has been!!!!
