Incorrect collection

We visited our local Courier Guy branch in Kroonstad in order to obtain a quote to collect 2 boxes od porcelain tiles from a private person in PE. All info and details were provided to them. The lady provided us with a quote but only verbally as she said that the final amount could only be calculated once the package were collected in PE. The estimated cost for the collection was R350.

They contacted us and informed us that the tiles has arrived and that we can collect. Upon our arrival they informed us that they collected seven (7) boxes of these tiles and that we have to pay for the transport of all 7 before they can release the items. We only required two (2) boxes. Not only did we have to pay the additional courier charges we now have to pay for the additional 5 boxes of tiles.

Our request and instruction was clear and precise that we only require two (2) boxes and even gave them the dimensions, sizes and weight of the boxes.

How do these peoeple opperate?? How can they load more (or less) than what the client requested? It seems as if they have no control over the delivery / collection of items? How do they even manage to function properly?
