Inconvenience and lack of service delivery for locker to locker courier services

I have been using the Courier Guy services for a good 3 to 4 years now. In 2025 when the locker service rebranded from Pudo to Courier Guy, they also changed the booking system.

Here is what they don't tell you... when you book you don't get to choose a specific locker as in the past. So it is now "luck of the draw". You may need to drive from Locker to Locker in hope of finding the size you require. This is a rediculous system and they need to change it.

My current issue: Today I booked a courier via locker to locker. I did the Whatsapp Chat (something I really won't easily do) and asked the "human" on the other side to check if our Avondale (aka Avonmore) Spar had a large locker available. They said they did. So I loaded the extremely large and heavy box, had to get it into the trolley and walk in. I put in my pin code and get a message that read "incorrect box size for locker". At first i was surprised as I am fami**** with the sizing of the lockers and boxes and chose the largest one. The "human" chat even sent me an image of the locker outlay, which in fact differs from the one I was standing in front of. The fact being that there are no XL / Large lockers at this particular location was what triggered my decision to put in a report. This is not the first time I have had issues with booking and not getting what I paid for.

What Courier Guy doesn't realise is that if a locker size isn't available, driving to the next one and possibly the next one or returning 3 days in a row costs money and cuts into the small profit we make on business.

I will never use the XL lockers again. Too many bad experiences. Pargo and Paxi are far better and more reliable.

Reviewer Update
UPDATED: So after no help or solution from Courier Guy Customer Service I proceeded to take the parcel to the Durban CBD Depot where I was advised to split the parcel into 2 separate packages which I did. One arrived broken open exposing the contents. We are now going to check to see if anything is missing. This just proves that the courier guys mishandle your packages. Never again. I am done with using their services. Where or how to share photos of the broken package?
