*****s & *******
Where do I even start... I was using the Postnet to Postnet service but decided to switch to a door to door delivery for my business. There were a few issues in beginning. Most of them due to The Courier Guy not educating but rather expecting their new clients to know how their system works.
Every thing went "smoothly" with a few pumps long the road. Rude drivers, late deliveries, etc. All I could handle.
There was a breakage here and there and a hijacked vehicle that I informed them about after a destressed call from my client as it happened outside her house.
All acceptable.
What I cannot accept is the incompetence of the selected staff of the Courier Guy. Some of the staff at the kiosk in Equestria are absolutely awesome.
Now, the truth behind this over-rated, ********** company.
I was very confused why I always had to pay into my prepaid account as often as I do. I made and enquiry and I was told to check my statement... So I did
It was strange to find that a Foam board 800mm x 600mm x 5mm cost more to send than a Canvas with a wooden frame 1200mm x 850mm x 40mm cost more. Same destination. Now the word Foamboard should tell you what is is made of...Foam! it weighs next to nothing. Yet I was told about volumetric weight.
Now unfortunately the area manager at The Courier Guy doesn't know that I am an educated individual who does understand what volumetric weight is.
After a telephonic conversation with the area manager he asked me which method of delivery I selected. I rep**** that I use the cheapest option when requesting a quote.
(This is a portal that you access when you sign up with the Courier Guy that lets you request collections online)
The area manager then told me, and I quote "that doesn't matter to us"
So all said and done. The quote that you see and accept on your online portal means absolutely nothing and you will be **********. I do not only think that this is unconstitutional but down right *******!!!
Now to the damages
I had 2 parcels damaged in the same week. I contacted the area manager telephonically to find out exactly what had happened. I was told me that I should supply images of the damaged items (which my clients had already sent me, I wouldn't have complained otherwise) in an email.
I emailed the pictures of the damaged items as well as the waybills.
It has now been three weeks. I have called. I have sent emails.
No response.
I said there is no need to claim to for the cost of the items, I just don't want to pay for the courier charges again.
3 weeks later... no reply.
If you run a small to medium business or any business that has an accounting system in place then forget about The Courier Guy Your books wont add up.
If you want honest quotes then forget about The Courier Guy
In fact... do not use them period
