Don't TRUST The Courier Guy! ANYONE can intercept your precious parcel

Why do we just accept being ****med as the new norm in our daily living routines? I was ****med, again, by one of our vary popular courier companies.yes, I call it "****med"

I paid for an item to be collected from a residential area in Toti, and delivered to a residential area in Boksburg door-to-door.. family member, to family member... my package ended up being ******

Courier company? Our very own, famous The Courier Guy.

I was selling a very valuable item online, got contacted by a prospective buyer and arranged the parcel be sent to my daughter where the transaction would've been completed.

Yes, i *****ed up and gave the waybill details to the buyer as proof that the goods were shipped, but before you stone me, hear me out.

My contract with The Courier Guy stated 2 names, 2 addresses and 2 contact numbers. The "buyer" was not listed anywhere, therefore the company wasn't aware of such a person even existing.

The "buyer" (unknown to this company) contacted the Courier Guy and requested a change of delivery address. This was accepted and done by The Courier Guy without verifying any of this with the sender and/or receiver first!

The items were collected by Uber, delivered to the new address, and are gone, needless to say. So is the "buyer".

Courier Guy is not accepting any whatsoever responsibility even though they breeched a contract with me, and allowed a third party - not mentioned on any part of my contract with them - to ***** my stuff!

Not so long ago, my daughter sent a package to my mom in Toti. My mom received her goods by luck only.

An incorrect phone number was listed on the Waybill, corrected by my daughter on e-mail before delivered, entered and corrected by The Courier Guy on receipt. On the day of delivery, my mom wasn't in the vicinity to collect, and without notifying her, the driver took the lady's phone number and sent her (not my mom) the pin to enable her to collect the parcel.

I mean, honestly, ***!!!!!!!

Where does this stop.

I can not open a civil complaint, it's too expensive. I can not claim at small claims court as I need the OWNER'S full details to do so....

How do we as normal, fighting-to-stay-alive, citizens, protect ourselves from this nonsense. If it was a micky mouse company dealing with our important packages in this manner, I might have understood...

Is there anyone else sitting with these issues when it comes to THE COURIER GUY? If not, be VERY AWARE! And let this be a warning. NO ONE CAN BE TRUSTED ANYMORE
