Dissatisfied with service

Generally for rough packages Courier Guy has a decent service and decent pricing in the market. However for sensitive transactions, I don't recommend them because my experience with them is to say the least disappointing. I sent 2 picture frames to Jhb. One was with glass but highly cushioned with layers of boxes and bubble wrap. The agent just phones me after 3 days and tells me that my glass is broken. She asks me whether they should continue with the delivery or bring it back but they will charge me for bringing it back. Yes they did state that they don't insure glass items but the callous don't care manner in which she stated 'your glass is broken' smacks of a business which doesn't really care for their customers. If it had been, "I regret to inform you that your glass was broken during shipment"... "Your glass is broken" doesn't speak much for your due care along the way. It's more like "I told you it might break and now it's broken". I've given these suckers more than R10k of business in the last year or so, and to be treated in this manner is disrespectful. You just say, "your glass is broken" but for me, I paid you R275 to and now it's going to be R275 from and plus another R250 to do the repairs but I guess all you see is my glass is broken. Not to mention that I still have to use a real more caring courier company to resend the parcel. Will let you know how a real courier company delivers after you bring back my broken parcel..... tbc
