Dishonest driver

I had an online order with a certain shop and they were using The Courier Guy to deliver my parcel. This company is the worst, they once called to say they are delivering and I later called the driver to check how far he is and he just said he just past our area he will deliver some other time and he never did. Instead he took the parcel back to the sender claiming that he couldn't reach us and the phone was never off. I tried to contact them to find out what's really going on but they take me from pillar to post, I literally hate their service and it makes me not want to buy from the shops that are using them to deliver
