Damaged goods
We have been using them since 2021 sending boxes to Cape Town from Potchefstroom. Never had issues. Now on the 2nd October 2024 we sent 5 boxes which was securely wrapped inside and out. Delivery was to be the 4th October 2024 but they had some sort of problem. We phoned several times and was eventually told it will be delivered on the 7th October 2024. We called the Cape Town hub and was told 3 boxes is out for delivery and the other 2 boxes will be delivered the afternoon. My daughter in Cape Town normally receives a sms 2 hours before with a pin number to say the boxes is going to be delivered. She never received any sms and 4 boxes was delivered the morning without signature. The last box came the afternoon. She was told to sign on the box which she found strange because the box was hers. The box was damaged and the contents inside which was a snackwich and a sushi rice boiler was severely damaged. We then contacted the branch in Potchefstroom on the 8th October 2024 no response. We were told they are investigating. Went back there 10th October 2024 and still nothing. So nobody at Courier Guys wants to take responsibility for the goods. We understand but it's the staff in the hubs where the goods are sent to for distribution, nobody cares how the boxes or packages are handled. So now must we be a lower of R900 worth of goods. I have pics of the goods that were damaged. Not even the manager comes to speak to you or calls with some sort of explanation. We are not the only people who is having this issue. They were the best company to use but now it's scary because you don't know how your packages or boxes is going to be like when it reaches its destination.
