Damaged good claim being ignored

In January I sent a parcel (Flyer bag) from Nelspruit to Knysna. The content was small metal components packed neatly in ziplock bags and tightly wrapped in bubble wrap. We ship these on a regular basis in the same way. The parcel arrived damaged with some of the content missing.

I contacted Nicole/Edna at the Nelspruit office to inquiring about this and I was told that there will be an investigation. Nobody came back to me until I inquired again. I was then told that they are waiting for photos. After few weeks again I had to inquire again. I was then told that the parcel got stuck several time on the conveyor belts where it got damaged. When I inquired about submitting a claim I was told “if a parcel is only placed in a flyer we cannot do a claim as a parcel as such is sent at own risks”. I would like to know what this means. Should we not use flies bags or how are parcels place in flyer bags in order to be covered under the Courierguy insurance?

I rep**** to this message and once again it is being ignored. It is now almost two months later and I am still waiting for proper feedback and explanations in finalizing this issue. It is virtually impossible to get hold of someone at the Nelspruit office and the service is shocking.

I would appreciate if a senior person (not a supervisor or office manager) could call me to resolve this.
