Customers pay the price for The Courier Guys lack of communication

24 December 2024 - I received an email from Desley Wewers informing me about a damage that happened to a parcel that I sent. - With the email back and forth, he just wanted to know whether to proceed and deliver or to return the parcel to me. - With my questioning, He didn't want to give detail about what caused damaged instead gave response that it will require investigation and they will check the footage. I responded to say, "I will await further advice from you", of which I received a response from him saying "Noted, thank you"

20 January 2025 - Seeing as there's been no response back from them, I send a follow up email. I am informed that Desley is on leave and that "should his investigation conclude that the incident is claimable we will forward you a claim form, unfortunately he did not hand the investigation over so we will be able to assist once he returns."

- 12 February 2026 - I AGAIN initiate and send another follow up email asking for feedback and advise; this is when Desley decides to inform me that I was supposed to lodge a complaint within 48 hours ignoring the fact that I have been waiting for further advice from him from the first day and never cared to advise accordingly that I could lodge a complaint in the meantime. I am further told that my parcel was "insufficiently Packaged"... but we packed it in The Courier Guy flyer bag and looking at the damage photos, I'm not quite sure what "sufficient packaging" was required as the cause of the damage would've still cut through it.
