Courier Guy send my parcel back to sender despite our communication not to.

I recently awaited a parcel delivery. On Friday 6 October I checked the tracking status and at about 08:35 it was "out for delivery".

I waited at the delivery address from then until 16:30. No delivery took place and no one contacted me like usual.

I was very disappointed and concerned because I was going on leave from Monday 9 October until the 13th.

So I immediately send an email to Nelspruit Courier Guy AND send a WhatsApp on the Courier Guy WhatsApp line to first complain about saying that the parcel was out for delivery and 2as never delivered on the 6th (consider the driver passes 50m from my delivery address in the morning when he is on hos way to Hazyview). I also notified them that I wouldn't be available until the 13th and they must not attempt to deliver in those 5 days of the next week. I also requested that they do not send the parcel back to the sender but deliver on the 16th when I'm back.

E-mail, WhatsApp AND lef a message on your website.

I did get a response from the WhatsApp line that they noted my concern and sent it through to the relevant department (which would be the Nelspruit branch).

From there I didn't get any other feedback or communication.

On returning from leave I checked my e-mail and found various mails that they tried to deliver between Monday the 9th and Friday the 13th despite me requesting them not to. They then send my parcel back to the sender quoting thay they couldn't get hold of the receiver after many attempts. And I specifically asked them NOT to send it back as I only would be back from leave on the 16th.

I don't know if this horrible lack in customer service and communication is relevant to the whole Courier Guy as a company or is it only the Nelspruit branch that is so ********.

I rest assured after receiving the feedback from the WhatsApp line that my concern was noted and forwarded to Nelspruit.

Now, on the 19th October I still didn't receive my parcel.

I attach my WhatsApp communication beneath as well as the reply from the Courier Guy Agent:

Your tracking says the parcel was put for delivery on Friday 7 October...

"I don't believe this to be true as it I waited at the office until 16:30. No one phoned me as they usually do. No delivery.

Problem is that next week from Monday to Friday I will not be available as I am going on leave this weekend so it was important to be delivered on Friday.

08:29 on 6 October it was out for delivery according to tracking.

Waited from 9 to 16:30. Nothing and no communication.

Seeing there is only one road from Nelspruit into Hazyview it means the driver had to pass within 50m from my office (delivery address) twice on the same day, coming into Hazyview and then again going back to Nelspruit.

So I won't be available for delivery next week.

What are you going to do about it?"

The agent rep****:

"Hello 🐯 !

You are currently speaking to Lumka Madonsela .

Your query is noted and will be escalated to the relevant department for further action.

Thank you.".

Last I heard.

I rep**** the following on this:

"Good morning l, yes please need the message to be directed to Nelspruit branch, as they did not deliver as they show it was out for delivery and I am away on leave from tomorrow.

I don't want them to send my package back. But I would only be back next weekend"

Then they did everything I asked and arranged with them in writing NOT to do. .try to deliver when I'm unavailable and out of the province, AND sending my parcel back.

Seems it is absolutely useless to communicate with The Courier Guy"
