Courier guy offers bad service for clients

A friend of mine spent a parcel of me to receive overnight & he paid for overnight delivery on the 29th April 2020 which I was suppose to receive on the 30th April 2020. I called their office to find out what's going on with my parcel I spoke with the supervisor on shift which her name it's Precious & she advised to look in the immediately & I called back to get feedback but no answer how the hell do this operate if they can't deliver.
