Courier Guy CPT Employees - I Love you forever

Okay, I’ll try keep this as short as possible without losing the context.

My best friend got married this past weekend (28 March) in Stellenbosch. We’re based in Pretoria, so there were quite a few logistical elements that needed to be couriered down. We hit a bit of a snag when the brides****s’ dresses, groomsmen’s waistcoats, and vinyl for the seating chart and welcome board were supposed to be sent overnight on Thursday… or so we thought.

There seemed to be a glitch, and although we tried to upgrade it to overnight delivery, by Friday afternoon (27 March) I still hadn’t received any notification. At this point, panic had fully set in. The vendor spent hours ****erally around 3 hours) trying to get assistance via the call centre, but no one could really help because, on the system, it didn’t reflect as an overnight shipment.

In a last desperate attempt, I drove to The Courier Guy warehouse, and honestly, the moment I walked in, I felt immediate relief.

The front desk lady, Chanelle, was incredibly calm and reassuring. I explained the situation, and she immediately went to the back to investigate and start making arrangements. At that point, the package was still in Pretoria.

From there, the team worked absolute magic. They managed to get the package onto a truck, then onto a flight, and arranged for it to arrive that same night. Initially, I was told I could collect it the next morning, but due to our tight wedding schedule, I said I’d even drive at midnight if I had to.

Chanelle then went the extra mile and arranged for the driver, James, to personally deliver the package to Stellenbosch that very same night. I was honestly in tears from pure relief - I don't think I have ever hugged a stranger this tight!

They also put me in contact with the night shift manager, Justin (aka Batman!), who kept me updated throughout the process. At this point, Chanelle, Justin, and James were all communicating with me just to keep me calm and informed.

Just after 21:00, James called, he was at the gate (in Stellenbosch) with my package.

I honestly cannot explain the level of relief and gratitude I felt. This team saved our bridal party from an enormous amount of stress. Their willingness to go above and beyond, even after hours, was nothing short of incredible.

Courier Guy - I truly hope you read this. It is people like Chanelle, Justin, and James who give your company its reputation. These are the people who take your service to the next level. I sincerely hope they are recognised and rewarded.

Because of this experience, I will remain a loyal Courier Guy customer - purely because of the effort, care, and humanity shown by this team.
