Complain about delivery with the courier guy

Today i was called my courier guy company and told that my parcel with tracking no: *** will be delivered today i should be at home, i stayed at hone only to receive a call at 14:38 and the driver told me that he can’t come today he’s going somewhere they will deliver tomorrow. Why was i called in the first place and told they deliver today and it seems like the driver didn’t want to come to where i stay and took advantage of me. Now they’ve sending me emails that if they don’t deliver my parcel they will have to take it back to the original owner
