The Collectors Place - awful service!

I arranged with Maria Gubic to have my antique Victorian bath restored. She said she would pay for the collection and I would pay for the return of the restored bath, and put me in touch with her transporter. The bath was collected after I paid the 80% deposit and once the work was completed (she had an excuse as to why she couldn't send me a picture of the completed work), she demanded the other 20% which I promptly paid. I was then told to arrange with her transporter myself to have my bath delivered to me.

Upon speaking to him via WhatsApp, he informed me that he refuses to do any further business with Maria, as she short paid him upon the delivery of my bath to her premises. He also informed me that she had negotiated him down from his normal fee to R350 - I was charged R600 for the return only, i.e. over charged. I was livid at being **** to so I noted the same to her. It took another week and a half before I finally got my bath (after threatening her with a police case for theft and ***** because she had so many excuses re the transport!).

When my bath was finally delivered by her daughter (so they DO have a vehicle to transport goods!), I found that they had removed the bath outlet, overflow and the pipes that were attached to the bath when it went to them! Not at any time when I spoke to her or her daughter did they apologise for ripping me off on the transport or offer to pay back R300, but now they took my pipes and outlets too!!

If you want to have your old bath restored, you're better of with the guy from Zambia that will do it at your house at half the price!
