Apple CPO device from The Cell Store
I had a disappointing experience at the cell store.
I purchased an iPhone 7 CPO online and went to their premises at Loftus Stadium to collect however after struggling to find the office, i discovered that it was a small office not clearly marked. Upon approaching the security gate the person attending to me didnt open the gate and spoke to me through the gate which made me feel like some sort of ********, after complaining he reluctantly opened the gate and continued to studying my invoice and email regarding the collection, next he proceeded to the next room and closed the door in my face again making me feel like i was there to *****.
after about 20-25 minutes he emerged from the room with an opened box with the phone upon opening the phone i was disappointed as this was a used phone with scratches and marks on the glass and back, i then questioned if this was a CPO or Apple Certified Previously Owned and they said that it was. and that i should read on their website that this is what a CPO should look like.
prior to purchasing this phone i did some research and according to apple a CPO devices is as follows: " It is tested for full functionality and comes with a new IMEI number and outer body" which is what i was expecting (see link below) https://www.myistore.co.za/what-is-a-certified-pre-owned-iphone-or-iphone-cpo .
Hence either this is false advertising or apple CPO means different if not purchased from apple themselves. I had previously purchased a CPO device from the istore and it was an excellent phone which served me well
Please beware of this company and these CPO devices
Due to our shop being ****** twice we refrain from allowing anyone to collect purchases at the moment. I wish it was as easy as telling on face value who is going to robb you and who not.
As to the CPO devide. This is a copy of the text you would have seen on the product page when you choss the phone you want to buy

From this text its clear that you failed to read the website accurately. The website at no point mentions “Apple CPO”. This is the factory restored CPO phone that you would receive from iStore. Our phones are TheCellStore Certified Pre -Owned. At no place on our website do we mislead anyone into thinking they willl get a Brand New phone or one refurbished by Apple . Cerified Pre-Owned means devices that has passed a 30+ point quality check. We only source phones that are in excellent condition to give you the best possible deals.
Note : These aren’t phones that have been refurbished, just phones that have previously been used and tested to certify a perfectly working , pre-loved device
From this it is clear that you failed to read the website and this resulted in you not knowing what cpo means. We apologize that you had to wait outside and glad you received your refund
