5 Star ******* with a 4 star accreditation.

Link below</p> <p>https://www.facebook.com/groups/ ********** ********** 88/permalink/ ********** ********** 76/</p> <p><br />‘The Car Mechanic’ based in Krugersdorp assured me that the best quality product was being used when I did both my rear wheel bearings and that I have a guarantee on the work and parts.<br />The date on the original invoice is 29/04/2016 with millage of 216511km.<br />The date on the new invoice is for 04/07/2016 with millage of 220163km.</p> <p>It has not been a full 3 months and I only did the distance of 3652km.<br />I was reassured by the admin lady when I originally took my car in that I had a 3 month 100km guarantee on parts and work done.</p> <p>Guess what. The rear left wheel bearing broke again before I had reached 3652km.<br />I was asked to bring the vehicle in again and that they will look at it.</p> <p>Upon arrival, I was instructed to take their driver in my car to hear the sounds I am complaining about. We returned to the office and he proceeded to open the tyre and advised the admin lady that the rear left bearing was indeed broken. Then their boss, Johan, went through and shook the tyre that was now attached, he came back shouting at me stating that the only way the bearing could have broken was by my own fault by hitting a pot hole. Also stated that he does not drive the car and thus not responsible for the break. <br />The car was jacked in their entrance and when he spun the wheel, we could hear that there was a problem. He insisted that I have indeed hit a pothole and that is the only reason the bearing would break. I asked him that if I were to hit a pot hole hard enough to cause damage to the brand new bearing that his company installed, would the rim not also be buckled? He mumbled his words turning quick to look at my tyre and realised there was no buckling, then states that my tyre profile is very thin and that could be a contributing factor. He was vile, arrogant and even shouted at me.<br />Being now unable to drive my vehicle I had no choice but to have the rear left bearing repaired again, thus the invoice dated 04/07/2016. When he had calmed down I asked him that if I am driving with an 8 month old child in the car, travelling through stop go traffic daily without hitting potholes then what could be the cause. He then changed his story saying that excessive breaking could cause excessive heat thus breaking the seals on the bearing. Also says that this is plausible as the car is not moving fast and there is not air/wind to cool off the rear breaking system or must be a faulty breaking system ( BY THE WAY the break shoes were done by him in the first invoice as well as having the drums skimmed ) I advised him he did the shoes/linings as well as skimming, he then changed his story again to say that I could be driving very fast that was the cause. I drive a Ford fiesta 1.6 Trendline, how fast must my car travel in order to break a brand new bearing, one according to him when I first did it was the better bearing.</p> <p>Eventually when his driver returned with the bearing, he shows it to me boastfully saying, “I asked them for this bearing as it has a bigger seal than the previous and is a better bearing” <br />That is what he told me last time!<br />I was charged 2 hours labour when in total they must have spent no longer than 45 minutes on my car.<br />They have a 4 star accreditation, what a joke! Anyone knows who can investigate the company who gave him a 4 star accreditation? <br />I have been in 3 star workshops where every piece of equipment has a place and is in a place. <br />They were working with most tools no better than what I already own (minus the press and hydraulic lifts)<br />4 star accreditation but a proper 5 star *******! <br />Please note the photos of the bearing attached also. <br />I am no rocket scientist but when you claim something was damaged through a large impact like hitting a pot hole very hard, I would expect to find some points of damage, minus the grease stains as all the grease had leaked out of the bearing. <br />I have also taken a video of me rolling the bearing and rotating it,</p> <p>I will try to upload to youtube and paste a link below …..</p> <p>https://youtu.be/oJV-oFNq7wQ</p>
