Threatened with a "blacklist" for cancelling an unfulfilled order

Be very careful when dealing with this business and its network of 15 websites. I paid in full for an online order after being assured the unit would fit my bike.

Post-payment, the seller changed their tune and admitted they weren't sure it would fit, suggesting a trial-and-error approach instead. When I chose to cancel the order before shipment due to this uncer*****y, the service turned incredibly hostile. I was told that because transaction fees cost them money, I would be placed on a "+B list." They explicitly stated this meant I would be intentionally deprioritised and forced to wait weeks for any future orders across all their platforms, regardless of stock levels.

They only backed down and processed my full refund after I pointed out that under South African law (CPA and ECTA), consumers have a legal right to cancel online orders without being penalised for business transaction costs.

The passive-aggressive attitude and retaliatory policies here are completely unacceptable. I will not be doing business with them or any of their affiliate sites again.
