Poor customer service

I purchased candles at this branch on the 9th of May 2015. I bought too many and wanted to return the excess in the same condition and original packaging in which the goods were purchased. The slip does not stipulate a returns policy. In store there is a page saying returns allowed within 7 working days which is today 19th May 2015. <br> <br> The manager refused to refund me saying the first working day is the day of purchase making today the 8th working day. This must be the only store in SA counting the day of purchase as day 1! She also does not give credit notes. I visit this store frequently and am highly disappointed by their lack of good faith and poor customer service!
